Career Saathi Program- Selection Conference
A selective student support program for the meritorious students but economically weak in assisting, mentoring and tracking them till successful employment. The support to each child ranges from administering a psychometric test, aiding in admission into the course of their choice, various bridge programs for medium switch, assistance in applications for higher studies, entrance exams, scholarships etc, equipping with employability skills etc. The overall idea of the project is to groom each student into a
productive employable resource. We are organising a one day selection conference for the same,hosting 50 aspirants and their parents for the same, from different geographic locations of Telangana state.
The selection conference was held on Nov 8th 2015, with the overwhelming participation of 72 aspirants their concerned parents and enthusiastic volunteers of various MNC like Excers, ADP, Verizon and other NGOs.

VHL wins Mobile for good contest
Nirmaan Vidya HelpLine bags the Vodafone Mobile for Good awards 2015, in association with NASSCOM, Grant Thornton and Next Gen. The Mobile for Good Awards aim to recognize, promote and support mobile innovations for driving social change in India. This award wins Nirmaan a year’s mentoring from the domain experts and a generous sum of Rs 12,000 for the project enhancement.

 | Pilot launch of Vidya HelpLine, AP center
Nirmaan Vidya HelpLine started the pilot in Andhra Pradesh with the center in Guntur. This is the 8th successful center of Vidya HelpLine, exclusively to cater to the needs of the students and drop outs of the Andhra. The center was inaugurated in a soft way, on Nov 9th 2015. The number is running with the kind association of AP State Skill development Corporation(APSSDC). |

Toll free Tele-counselling: A toll-free service, where career info and guidance is provided to students and drop outs over a phone.
In the past three months from October to December 24,565 call queries on education and career prospects from rural students and drop outs have been resolved.

Career Counselling Workshops: These are our outreach programs, where we reach out to the students of SSC grade and expose them to various career opportunities and assist them in their career decisions thereby making them dream BIG!
In the past three months from October to December, we organized Career Workshops in 150 Govt schools reaching to 8,954 students.

Messaging Outreach: This is a tech- tinge outreach program, where we use Voice and Text messaging to update our beneficiaries about any latest career / academic information like scholarships, admission dates etc.
The Voice messaging service is exclusively to cater to the career needs of the visually handicapped, as their sources of info are very limited.
In the past three months from October to December, 53,540 voice and text messages have been shot out.

Unemployed Youth Counselling: A program intended for the unemployed youth to connect them to employment opportunities or enabling them to pursue their education.
31 youth have been counselled and engaged in various jobs and trainings.

Personalized Counselling : A program where the beneficiaries themselves reach out to the Vidya HelpLine centre for personal counselling on academic and career prospects.
105 youth have been personally counselled.

My Story: I completed my 10th class with 9 CGPA. I have no idea to precede further education, didn’t know whom to look up. Then I came across the toll free number and expressed my state of mind. I also expressed them with the fear of not being able to continue my education due to my very poor financial status. The counselors explained me about different opportunities open to me. For my scores, they suggested IIIT and guided me in the same.
Following their suggestions, I applied for IIIT and successfully secured a seat in RGKUT-Basara. I thank VHL team for great guidance and support. I and my family will be thankful for the rest of our lives.
