Applying SPM deformation field: a simpler way than "applying inverse of inverse transform" ?

To apply SPM deformation fields, NiPype provides the ApplyInverseDeformation interface but not an ApplyDeformation interface. So is the only way to apply a deformation to use two inverses: the inverse deformation with the ApplyInverseDeformation interface? (since apply inverse of inverse deformation = apply deformation)

For some reason the ApplyDeformations is in a different interface (spm.preprocess) than ApplyInverseDeformation (spm.utils) so there is such a function
