Our local charity partner for the event is Warrior Surf Foundation who will be having a live auction night of the event. Warrior Surf Foundation (WSF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to provide free surf therapy, wellness coaching, yoga, and community to Veterans struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, transition issues, and other mental health issues. We believe that all Veterans deserve the right to live lives to their fullest potential.

Mex 1 Coastal Cantina invites Lowcountry margarita lovers to celebrate National Margarita Weekend at all Mex 1 locations Thursday, February 22nd through Saturday, February 24th. National Margarita day is officially Thursday, November 22nd but Mex 1 Coastal Cantina is celebrating all weekend long with price pitchers of Mex 1 and Infused Margaritas.

The house made Mex 1 Margaritas are made using 100% Agave Tequila and fresh juices. They are also doing specials around their customer favorite infused margaritas like the pineapple margarita, jalapeno margarita and pineapple habanero margarita. These infused margs use 100% Agave Tequila and fresh fruit to create a flavorful marg. Mex 1 will be offering price pitchers of their house Mex 1 margarita and their infused margaritas all weekend long.

Mex 1 Coastal Cantina in conjunction with Carolina Studios is excited to bring you our next installment of #Mex1Sessions with Motown Throwdown on Sunday, January 21st starting at 7pm! Motown Throwdown is a powerhouse soul band steeped in the traditions of funk, soul, pop, rock, R&B, and jazz. This outfit of local heavyweights has established itself as a leader in the Charleston music scene, beginning with their long time residency at the Charleston Pour House. The 5-piece consists of siren Aisha Kenyetta, sax-man and vocalist Mike Quinn, guitar wizard Dave Grimm, Stuart White on drums and the inimitable Corey Stephens on bass. As the name implies, the music starts within the Motown soul tradition, but manifests itself in a plethora of unique styles and arrangements from across the musical spectrum. Expect an enormously energetic performance with ripping solos, soulful vocals, and catchy, synchronized melodies on top of a thick, relentless funk driven core. Also, expect to dance and be wildly entertained.

We are selling a limited amount of general admission tickets in advance of the show, so get your tickets before the event sells out! Tickets are $18 in advance and $25 at the door. This event will sell out and we will have limited tickets available at the door.

Join us for a fun afternoon at Mex 1 Mount Pleasant for our Jeep Show and Shine event! This is the perfect venue for Jeep enthusiasts to gather, flaunt their Jeeps, and enjoy a sense of community. There will be three categories to vote on for the Jeep show and shine.

We will have swag giveaways as well as a special release Imperial Stour from Commonhouse Aleworks. Make sure to mark your calendars and bring along your fellow Jeep aficionados to add to the excitement. See you at Mex 1 Mount Pleasant on Sunday, November 5th with your shiny Jeeps and high spirits!

One of our favorites, Tie Dye Night, is back at Mex 1 Park West on Saturday, October 7th from 5-8pm. We will have all the supplies and the shirts for the kiddos including doing the project with them so mom and dad can have a margarita by themselves! The custom Mex 1 shirt, tie dye and a free kids meal for the child is only $20. A bit of time away from the kiddos? Priceless. We have a limited amount of shirts, so get there early to get your spot.

Before the show, join us for a West Ashley Bikeway Cleanup from 5-7pm. We will be meeting at Higgins Pier Parking lot at 1022 Main St then hitting the walk way for a quick clean up of the greenway. We will then head straight to Mex 1 for the main event.

In lessons, students learn the foundational skills they need to be proficient in technique and theory. Meanwhile, by joining a Bach to Rock band, students get to showcase their abilities, gain confidence on stage, and build teamwork skills with their peers.

In Band and Glee Club, students get to practice with other musicians and perform as a band in local venues. Our ensemble programs help young musicians build teamwork skills, become stronger performers, and gain confidence on stage!

Join us in celebrating National Tequila Day with Buy One, Get One Free Mex 1 Margaritas at all Mex 1 locations! Margarita Monday is more fun with BOGO margs PLUS free Tequila samples from some of our favorite brands from 5-7pm below.

We will have the video playing on the big screen out in the back parking lot, an outdoor food and bar set up, live music from Ben Whitney and an awesome raffle with a 100% of proceeds benefitting Warrior Surf Foundation. The event is a $10 entry which includes 10 raffle tickets! Come party with us at Mex 1 for the video premier later this month!

Mex 1 Coastal Cantina in West Ashley is throwing their annual Cinco De Mayo block party with live music from Midnight City on Thursday, May 5th! This kick ass bash starts at 5pm with music starting at 6:30. We will have multiple outdoor bars, food tents, local vendors and live music so be ready for a fun night!

We will have questions from some of our favorite classics from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Wedding Crashers to 40 Year Old Virgin to name a few. Our theme trivias are always a blast and fill up fast. We will have some fun drink specials as well as some heartbreaking prizes all night long. Trying to find the courage to ask your crush out? Why not bring them and some friends to this epic night of laughs and trivia.

December 21st, 7pm we are hosting another comedy night at Mex 1 Sullivans! Our Emcee for the evening is Austin Hughes, a celebrated local comedian known for taking us back to our awkward teenage years.

Tuesday, December 21st 8pm at Mex 1 West Ashley we hope to see you dressed in your ugliest Christmas sweater! The winner of the ugliest sweater will win some cool prizes and we will be having drink specials. So drop on in and show off your ugly sweater!

Come join Mex 1 for our annual Dia De Los Muertos party on Friday, October 29th. Our crew will be decked out in traditional face paint, we will have live music, drink specials and a free Patron tasting at all three stores from 6-8pm! Drop in and check it out.

Spooky season is finally here and what better way to celebrate than with a Scary Movies Theme Trivia? Come show off your coolest halloween costume and join us on October 28th 7pm at Mex 1 Sullivans for drink specials and frightening trivia questions! Best dressed costume wins a sweet prize too. ;-P

Halloween is just around the corner and what better way to get into spirit than showing your love for all the zombies out there! Come join us for The Walking Dead Theme Trivia on Wednesday, October 20th at 7pm at Mex 1 Park West. Drop in early as we expect to fill up quickly for this fun post-apocalyptic evening.

Come dance to some local live music by the Destinators, shop with the local vendors onsite and enjoy food and drinks being served from multiple bars available for film goers to imbibe and watch some epic new surf films.

Meet us at Mex 1 Sullivans Island a little before 6pm to help our community in a beach sweep. This is the Tuesday after Labor Day weekend so a beach sweep is much needed. Come join us Tuesday, September 7th at 6pm and we will head out from Mex 1 and head to the beach. All volunteers who come out and lend a helping hand will receive one free beer! Everything will be provided to you from gloves, trash pickers and trash bags. Just come in comfy clothes and bring sunscreen!
