In the first drop-down box under the Create a Video heading, select the video quality you want, which pertains to the resolution of the finished video. The higher the video quality, the larger the file size. (You may want to test them to determine which one meets your needs.)

The default time spent on each slide is 5 seconds. You can change that timing in the Seconds to spend on each slide box. To the right of the box, select the up arrow to increase the duration, or select the down arrow to decrease the duration.

You can track the progress of the video creation by looking at the status bar at the bottom of your screen. The video creation process can take up to several hours depending on the length of the video and the complexity of the presentation.

When you want to give a high-fidelity version of your presentation to colleagues or customers (either as an e-mail attachment, published to the web, on a CD or DVD), save it and let it play as a video.

Depending on the content of your presentation, creating a video may take some time. Lengthy presentations and presentations with animations, transitions, and media content will likely take longer to create. Fortunately, you can continue to use PowerPoint while the video is being created

For example, if you inserted the media using PowerPoint 2007, it will be linked and it will play in the presentation. However, when you export the file as a video, the linked media will be dropped. You can convert the file to the new file format (select the File tab, and under Info, select Convert), or you can right-click the media object and then select it to upgrade; it will embed the file and export it correctly.

After you've created the video file, you can upload it to a video-sharing site. Microsoft Stream is an enterprise video service where people in an organization can upload, view, and share videos. Microsoft 365 business or education subscribers have access to this service from within PowerPoint for Microsoft 365.

The upload process can take several minutes, depending on the length of the video. A status bar at the bottom of the PowerPoint window tracks the progress, and PowerPoint shows a message when the upload is finished:

I recorded a 1.75hr meeting yesterday (5/5) and after I ended the meeting the conversion status box popped up and tracked the conversion of the recording all the way up to the 100% mark, but then nothing has happened since then. Typically the audio and video file open up in another downloaded file folder and I can drag and drop the files to where I need them on my internal network. I haven't clicked the "Stop Converting" button because I'm afraid I'll lose everything. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this?

I recently updated my software on Mac to Monterey 12.0.1. I had a Zoom meeting earlier today that I recorded and it did not convert. When I tried to convert it, it said I needed to give Zoom permission in System Preferences> Security and Privacy. When I went to the Files and Folder option, Zoom is no longer there and the + button is grayed out so I cannot add Zoom to my list of apps that I allow permission to access my files and folders. Does anyone know how to fix this? I wanted to get this meeting transcribed ASAP. I also have a Zoom wedding tomorrow which I do not want to mess up.

Hey @tlb1414, did you try testing this while not in a meeting or attempt to close the Zoom client and try? Also to make changes. you would need to click on the lock and unlock to make any changes.

I can see you know a bit about the settings for Mac. Can you please assist me also.... I have a Mac with system BIG SIR and trying to turn on my Zoom security & Privacy in settings, just want to turn on (gray) to convert my latest meeting recordings! Assessment is due tomorrow and need to assess them for evidence. Can you help... screen shots. thanks Tori

With sox installed we can split our audio file in to two mono tracks with one simple command call. First, from GarageBand, export your stereo track to disk as a wav file. With the file on disk, open up a Terminal program and change to the location:

Pan the GarageBand track to one side, and export to iTunes via the Share menu. Next, in iTunes, set iTunes' importing preference to the format you want, and mono, Select the song in iTunes and choose the "Create [format] Version" menuItem from the advanced menu. Repeat the steps panning the other way if you want the other channel as a mono file as well.

I find Tom Auger's suggestion of using the Gain plug-in to convert to mono the cleanest and simplest method. After doing this I export the track and then re-import it to make sure its mono status is baked in and that it looks like a mono track as you work with it.

otherwise, for older GB version : export the track to audio; load it into the audacity free software, there go into the Track menu, then -> Stereo to mono. Now File -> Export audio ... choose AIFF (Apple...) save it on your desktop. Now drag the icon on you desktop to an empty GB track that will be mono then =no more problem.

download Tipard All Music Converter and when exporting the original stereo file select settings and choose mono. This will blend whatever is on the R & L sides into the same output on each sides of the new file.

Hello, I've been using zoom and recording my meetings for almost a year without any problems. The last two meetings that I have recorded I have received this message, "Failed to Convert Recording: There is another recording conversion in progress, please convert this recording later in Meetings>Recorded." I went back to where my meeting recordings are filed -- I have a "double_click_to convert_01" and "double_click_to convert_02". When I double click I get the above message. There is no recording that is still in progress -- or shouldn't be -- meeting one with failed recording was on Wednesday and meeting two with failed recorded was on Thursday. -- plenty of time to have completed the first recording. Please advise.

mg2 doesnt need to be on a record enabled track.
the record requirement is only to get external signal into MG. When there is recording on the track, this will be fed to MG automatically, like with any other plugin.

If the pre recorded audio track is not record enabled, with mg2 as a plug in, the audio track does not play at all. Using MOTU DP 9.52, Mac OS 10.14, iMac 8 core i9.
The track Plays if I remove mg2 from the track plugins. Thanks

Paul there is an option in DP to change effect inserts to post fader, and it did solve the problem.
Curious though as to why MG2 mutes the audio in the track. Being that there is a mix control why not have the track play.
Thanks

nice you have it working!
if you open the MG plugin, you can load the DIRECT effect in 2nd guitar fx slot if you want pure monitoring, or any other FX in any other slot to activate the guitarchannel.

If you would like to convert a meeting you can do so by opening your recording and once you open it on the top you will see the option "convert". Choose this option and you can choose the path where it will be saved as well as the resolution. Once it's done your file will be converted to AVI format.

I tried iMovie for iPhone and it cuts the header of the video (?!!).... If the video was shot in Slow Motion I could convert it to normal, but with a normal video I can't convert it to slow motion? Whats going on here?
