Oh, I wasn't aware I could access it this way. I haven't had to access it for quite a long time, but you know maybe how it is when you reset your pc, gotta put your stuff back on it and fix everything how you want it. I thank you for your help! :))
I'm guessing, when you reset your pc, it took away all the firestorm settings that was made by you. And when you installed Firestorm again, it installed as a clean installation. And hence the tab on your top bar, they're the default ones. Checking the advanced tab might give you access to it.
I seem to remember @Beq Janus saying recently that they were waiting for LL to get their Performance Viewer out on release, before releasing an updated Firestorm version with the performance upgrades.
It has indeed been a lot longer than we would have normally liked since the last release, many reasons contribute to this, many of which are the perils of managing a large complex software product with a small team of volunteers. RL happens, things don't go to plan, an upstream release or update, may break some critical dependency or feature and we have to scurry to fix them. Firestorm is a world of moving parts and co-mingled personal time commitments that uncannily conspire to thwart our plans. Thank you for your patience.
However, as those in our QA team and the early adopters in our preview group know there is a new update imminent (barring any last minute shockers being uncovered by the aforementioned guinea pigs). The update will bring us broadly up to the current release status of LL releases, cutting off just before the most recent Maintenance release which arrived in the midst of our QA program and introduced enough new bugs that it would have been irresponsible to try to slip that update in at the last minute. That means all the preceding bugfixes and updates, and features such as the 360 panoramic photos capability will be include, along with our own fixes and enhancements.
For my part, the "imminent" update will also introduce my experimental view to help people identify the major influences form the current scene over their FPS, and in particular with regard to avatars (and thus most useful in crowds) will offer additional options such as conditionally disabling shadows for very costly avatars. This is coupled with an Auto-tune capability that I hope people will find useful but, given that it makes choices for you, changing certain settings towards a singular aim of increasing FPS that you may not always agree with, I fully expect to cause some people consternation (it is entirely optional to use it of course). in getting it into your hands now I hope to see what people love and hate about it and so improve it for the future. All I will ask is try it, be sensible about what you ask it to do, and let us know what works or does not work for you and perhaps how you'd like to see the feature evolve.
My recent blog posts details both the motivation and objectives of the feature. You can get an overview of the feature in "Upgraders of the lost ARC" with the preceding post a more pointed and personal account of why some avatars and more specifically mesh bodies are poisonous to current viewers.
The performance viewer that LL are still hammering away at (and @Odaks referred to) is a significant (positive) change to the viewer performance but is not ready for release just yet. . When it does arrive it would be safe to anticipate that changes of this magnitude across the whole of the graphical infrastructure of the viewer will have rough edges and as such we will take our time to assess, evaluate and address things before rushing into a further update. We are very keen however to get the benefits that are coming from the hard work that the lab have put in to the optimisations, into the hands of our users, so I think we're all hoping for a much shorter wait for the next release than there has been for this one.
I've ensured that my user account is still and administrator. I've logged out and back in. When I login as the 'admin' account that I first setup with artifactory, I see that the 'advanced' menu is available.
BTW, I noticed that there is no easy way - that I could find, that is - using the Brisk menu, to add shortcuts to programs to the Redmond layout panel. I'm stuck with "Show Desktop", Firefox and Evolution. With "add to panel" I can add widgets, but no links to other programs.
Right click and create launcher
Type: Application
Name: =name you wish to call launcher (can edit later)
Command: Press Browse button
Browse to your file location, click on your file and press Open
Now in front of the item in Command: window
add xdg-open with a space
For a .svg (possibly others you can drag and drop and pop-up will ask if you want to Create Launcher.
It creates Open '/home/mendy/Desktop/test.svg'
You can use the xdg-open with space as another way.
I have a problem that's very annoying. I'm trying to change the menu setting on my Smart-UPS SRT8K from standard to Advanced but every time i try it jumps back to standard after 1-2 seconds. All posts I can find about i.e. turning the output groups on and off involves first changing the menu from standard to advanced. I have the latest firmware version.
I am wondering if anyone has had issues when updating their navigation menu in HubSpot? After creating our business home page, I edited the default menu to include all the pages to be included in our navigation. The problem I am running into is not all menus are showing up when I publish and refresh the pages.
My problem is that I can't figure out how to get there. I see from various sources ( ) that it shows up as an option in the standard Configuration Console panel - however, there is no "Advanced menu" when I start up my Wordpress appliance.
You need to first "Quit" out of that. Then log in at the command prompt. Use username root and the password you set at firstboot. On your first SSH login, Confconsole should auto start. After that, you'll need to manually start it by typing 'confconsole' from the commandline. FWIW, within the Advanced options, you can adjust it to autostart all the time if you wish.
So apologies again and thanks tons for your feedback. I've noted this as a feature request on our issue tracker so we can make it more obvious in a future release. I've also opened a separate issue about updating the Confconsole docs (they haven't been refreshed for some time...).
When I go the My Home menu I'd like to set the quick open defaults for example "part", to a different template, I can't see any way of doing this. I seen a document and it looked like an "Advanced" menu should be present? Could it be possible I have a file missing from the install causing this menu not to be present?
Once you have the template folder set to a path of your choice, Inventor will use the files called Standard.ipt, Standard.iam, Standard.ipn, Standard.idw (or .dwg) , that are located at the root of this folder, for the buttons.
Now note the % characters used, I used them to surround the lines that should be removed from that file to get the Advanced options for Ubuntu grub menu not to display, they aren't part of the original file. These lines exists from 345 down that file. Again all within that enclosure should be removed, compare to your own 10_linux file!
This will add a custom field to the menu item edit. However, you will not see the custom field until you have saved the menu for the newly added menu item. When you first add an item, you will only see the standard fields. After save, the new field will be available also for edit. If you add additional menu items, you will again have to save the menu to see and edit the custom field for the newly added items. I hope that explanation makes sense.
I was able to create and user a custom walker for creating the menu item edit fields. When you first add a menu item to the menu it seems to be entirely creating it with jQuery instead of the walker which is why you won't see the custom field until after save.
The advanced menu items that are inserted in the menu appear in the actual menu itself. I have followed the tutorials on uber menu and I seem to be doing everything correctly. Maybe it is not integrated properly? A interference with the theme still?
I am not sure how you added the menu items and the details of the settings in the Uber Menu. Would you please kindly tell us which UberMenu preset you used and give us the Sandbox of UberMenu link so that we can check and compare between two?
I was able to logged in and check your menu. I can see that you have added custom menu items with [some text] as the navigation label. If you want not to display [some text] just leave a blank character space instead.
One thing I would like to ask about the menu. I am having problems resizing the menu.
When I resize the web page to the size in the image, the menu is overlapping with the webpage and I am not sure how to fix this.
