This is a reasonably tricky project & requires loads of open source experience. Should be a fun project to work on though. 

Its best that if you think any details are missing - you get the same via private message to the creator. Let him know a figure you think you are comfortable working. If you need sometime dissecting firefox to figure that out - let him know that as well, so that he stays aware that you are attempting.
