Hello,

I'm on Windows, and I just went to the official release page (https://github.com/ninja-build/ninja/releases/) to get the ninja-win.zip archive for 1.10.1.

Windows Defender deletes the file as soon as I download it, complaining that it contains a trojan (Win32/Emali.A!cl apparently). This is quite surprising!

Is this a known issue? A false positive? For the record, the 1.10.0 archive doesn't have this problem, so I'll be using it.

Hope this helps,

- David

Hi,

we had this problem with Windows Defender and 1.9: https://github.com/ninja-build/ninja/issues/1540

I guess someone has to submit a report to Microsoft? No idea how to do that.

There is guidance here:

* https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/microsoft-defender-antivirus/antivirus-false-positives-negatives

According to VirusTotal the file is clean:
