4. Under your General account settings, you'll see a section for contact information, in which your primary email address is listed. Click on Edit next to your email address to expand the section.
7. You'll be asked to re-enter your current Facebook password to confirm the changes. Once you've completed this security step, Facebook will send you a verification email containing a link that you must click on to prove that it is a valid email address that you own.
7. On the next screen, Facebook will require you to enter your new email address and your password. Once you're done, tap on Add Email Address, and you'll be sent a confirmation email.
I use my phone number to log into Facebook and I recently realized I had an old email (hotmail lol) that I never use. I went to change my Facebook email to an email I actually use, but my Oculus email remains as the hotmail one. Facebook profile in settings shows my updated email as well.
Unfortunately I needed to update my email to reset my pin as I had forgotten it (honestly don't even remember setting it during the first time setting it up) so I'm in this weird purgatory.
Is there any process to update my email, using my linked Facebook account, without needing my pin? Or did I just get wrecked?
Can you still access your hotmail account? If so, there shouldn't be a problem. Just go to the security settings on your profile on Oculus.com, then Edit PIN and then forgot PIN. If you can't access hotmail (nothing wrong with hotmail, still use it lol), then you'll have to open a live chat with Oculus Support, or open a "Customer Support Ticket" (that's what they call it anyway). I had my Spotify associated with a work email, but I've always logged in using Facebook. I changed jobs so I no longer have access to the email on file nor the password manager for the stored password. I can still log in through Facebook but I can't change my email or reset my password.
If you can still log in your account page, you should be able to change the email address associated with your account, so that you can reset your password and use your email and password combination to log in. This will only work if you had an email address listed on your account.
I used to create a meta horizon account with Facebook and after that I changed my email on Facebook. Then when logging into the meta account It's like you'll be prompted to choose between the old email and the new email. Then I select a new email. I don't know if old unselected emails will be removed from the system or not. I want to know if what I found is true or not. Or am I just remembering it wrong? And if it actually happened Unselected email Will it be removed from the meta horizon system?

I don't want to know That old email is still with my meta account or not. But I want to know if the old email address I changed in facebook is still in the meta horizon account system (entire system) or not. We also limited to tools and access that will allow us to view the information. The only information that should be available in our systems is what you see when you log into your account. Thank you for your help. But I tried typing the old email name in the meta login through that email. And it tells me to create a new account. This means that the email address does not exist in the system. So I don't have this problem anymore.
The FB profile I used when I first came onto Air BNB has changed as I changed my name. Because I did this, the URL of my profile has changed. I'm trying to now change the email address on my Air BNB account and it won't let me unless I verify my FB password, which of course I am doing but it is saying it is the wrong account.
My issue to be resolved then is a) change my email address b) remove old FB account and reestablish connection with the new one. (Even though the FB accounts are not different, just had a change of name.)
I found a trick around this today. Go to Trust and Verification, unlink your AirBnb to your facebook, THEN add a work email at the bottom of your profile, that email will then be valid to edit your profile and change the email everything gets sent to.
As Amanda has said you unlink your AirBNB from your facebook via the settings. I wasn't able to add my new email address as a work one as it wasn't recognised as a valid work email - I was able to select PW reset after unlinking from FB - this sends an email to my FB email address however so I still needed access to this. Once I had changed/set the new PW I was able to update my AirBNB email address.
I had the same problem. Can't changed my email adress and it asked me for my password but I don't have one because I get through with facebook. I tryed to save with my fb password but it won't do the change. I asked advice at the technician of airbnb and she answered me that she can't do anything. I have to cancel my account and re-creat an another one! She can send me a replaced password to be changed to my old email but not to my professionnel one! without any good reason...What a stupid answer! I'm gonna try what you guys did... I don't want to erase my profile background...
when I try change my password, I register and it ask me for my password. If I have one, I don't remember it. I always have get through fb so I don't know why it ask me password... If I want to change the password, it ask me for the old password!, which I don't remember! They want to send me through the email wich is no good and if I try with my professsionnel email, I says it sent but I get absolutely NOTHING and my email is verified! Piece of **bleep** AIRBNB my god!
Is there any plan to fix this as it is a pretty bad issue. If the site uses OAuth, it should use it for everything, not render OAuth users blocked from some features forever.
- I signed up using facebook
- Made a booking... and then was informed the booking response would go to the email address associated with the facebook account.
- My facebook email address is out of date and I don't have access to it anymore
- I tried to update the email address on my airbnb account but that requires a password
- I don't have a password because I signed up via facebook
- I'm nervous of trying the 'unlink facebook account' workaround described above as I have a booking in progress and fear losing access to the account and the money put down in the reservation.
This is a bit of a difficult position to be in an update would be aprreciated.

I'm in this exact same boat right now too. I'm hoping the booking message will still go to my messages on here. I really like the place I booked! I'll try the above unlinking the account from FB after this, but that's quite a way off. Really hoping they fix this issue so the emails update when they change on FB.
So normally, when a user signs in for the first time, there's a trigger function that creates a new row in a public.users table. This row will contain id, full_name, email, avatar.These fields will be populated because I only use Google and Facebook auth. (Later I will set up Apple too).Then after completing a form, inside users.role the value "student" will be added.
Problem:When I send the invite, a user is created, but the provider is 'email', which triggers the function and in public.users I only get an ID, but full_name: null, avatar:null role:null. The invited user logs in, which triggers errors because they are null. So when testing this, I have to log in, log out or refresh the page, and then I get the values. And the user metadata will have both email and google/facebook as providers. Not cool. How do I solve it?
