AtAHSA, we recognize that education is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor. Unlike traditional schools, our curricula are tailored to individual learning styles. We offer various academies to cater to diverse student needs, whether they are budding scholars, athletes, or community leaders. Our commitment lies in helping every student achieve their full potential by focusing on their strengths, interests, and unique learning preferences.
AHSA stands out by providing adaptable learning options. Students can choose from classroom-based, hybrid, or virtual learning modes. This flexibility ensures continuity and maintains the quality of education, regardless of external circumstances. Whether attending in person or immersing themselves in online learning, AHSA caters to various learning needs.
AHSA serves as a Florida-accredited private high school, offering a second chance to those who may have struggled in traditional settings. For teens overwhelmed by the social structure of high school or those seeking an alternative to traditional school settings, AHSA provides inspiration and appropriate challenges. Adult learners who dropped out can also complete their high school diploma through our flexible home-based study program.
AHSA is proud of its nurturing staff, whose student-centric approach place students at the center of learning. Their genuine love of teaching inspires the love of learning required to challenge students to push past their expectations of what they can achieve.
Our curricula is based on individual learning styles, offering different academies to fit student needs. Classes at AHSA are personalized with different instruction methods focusing on student strengths, interests, and learning preferences. In this environment, students stay engaged in learning to achieve mastery of the subject, before moving on to the next level.
Students can enroll at American High School Academy (AHSA) full-time, credit recovery, Honors, Advanced Placement (AP), Dual Enrollment (DE), Adult and Alternative Learning options, and summer enrichment programs.
Student athletes are also assured of NCAA approved courses through our partnership with Florida Virtual Shool and Edgenuity. Student schedules are customized based on whether the student will attend in-person or immerse through online learning. The courses are selected based on student/parent educational expectations.
Additionally, students wishing to extend their learning beyond high school, can also transfer credits to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Purdue University, and Western Michigan University to continue their aviation/aerospace education at post-secondary level without losing momentum!
That personalized approach begins right from when the student applies to AHSA. Our open-enrollment allows students the flexibility to begin classes at any time of the year and to study at their own pace and have their progress monitored throughout regardless of whether they've enrolled in the home-based or classroom-based program.
Our admission process begins with an appointment with an Admissions Specialist to learn more about AHSA's programs and to conduct a credit evaluation based on the student's official transcript. At enrollment, full-time students meet with the school's principal, a certified school counselor, for academic planning and scheduling.
