Alex,

Just installed the release version of R3 and meanwhile had been trying
out some of your inspired organizing.

At one point, I changed my mind and decided to delete a second level
folder INBOX/Projects/NW
The folder had no notes in it as it was new.

Menu -> Space -> Delete Current Folder
Continue -> Safe Delete -> CRASH

DataMgr.c, line 9529, Index out of range. Reset button locked so hot
reset via hole in the back.

I doubt if this is a new R3 bug, just one I have not gotten to find
yet.

Same if I non-safe delete.

Tried to remove if after adding some notes and same thing.

Not a problem. I can workaround by leaving it there.

I thought it was the empty folder but now looks like I am going too
deep in the hierarchy ??

I can confirm this, as I just deleted an empy subfolder and my TX
reset.

Reproduced. Thanks for catching this. Please stand by for patch (1
hour or less).

Thanks
Alex

PS: Roger, there is no limit to the depth of folders.

Hi Roger and Clark

Stand by. I will send you 1.1R4 in a private email. It fixes the
problem you report and adds a new (tested well) feature: an "Add to
Favorites" checkbox to the "New Folder" form.

I will also release to the rest of the group in an hour or so.

Thanks
Alex

Got it and all works fine now.

Didn't mean to imply there was a limit, just wondered if the fact that
this was the first time I deleted a 2nd level folder being the cause.

Your turnaround time is impressive, Alex.

Roger Thanks.

By the way, if you have time, can you do me a favor and try and
hotsync your PDA? Let me know how it went.

Two users so far (Mike and Dan) report a crash at hotsync and it looks
like ninerpad is at fault. Am preparing a test version for them to be
sent later today.

Thanks
Alex

Alex,

I have hotsynced (hotsunk ?) a couple of times since you sent 11R3 and
11R4 and had no problems.

I am using Bluetooth to sync the T3, but I do not think that NinerPad
could be aware of that low level of hardware config.

All seems fine

I hadn't thought, I Hotsync with a cable attachment. Maybe that's the problem.
At work today - Paper to bed day" but will try to keep up

And I have always had my preferences reset when I get a new version. I just took that as norman

Hi Dan

I don't think this will matter. Hotsync crashing would indicate
corruption of databases or the presence of locked handles, i.e., would
be independent of transfer means.
