Hi everyone,

I am pleased to announce the official release of NinerPad 1.1R2
Freeware Edition, available from www.ninermedia.com.

This release includes:
- NEW: ninerpad data self-check and repair.

This is not a major release but does add an essential safety element
to 1.1R1, released one week ago, and fixes the bug discovered at that
time. Ninerpad is safe to use once again.

Warning: if you are a registered user of NinerPad, please wait for an
automatically generated email that shall be sent to you shortly and
that will provide you with the download coordinates for the full
version of NinerPad (the one with the bonus features included).

Thanks again to everyone for your help and suggestions and see you
soon for the next release.

Sincerely
Alex

This automatically resets my TX when I try to launch. Had to go back
to R1.

Hi Mike

I am not able to reproduce this (running on TX sim with 1.1R1, then
upgrading to 1.1R2).

This is very strange. I thought I had covered every possible
corruption situation.

Before the reset, do you see the user interface appear, or does it
reset while launching (white screen)?

If you could send me your dbs, I could take a look at them and release
a patch. Then again, I'll understand if you prefer not to. In any
case, feel free. I'll keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary
on my side.

It resets whilst launching. The screen goes whilst, the system toolbar
disappears then reappears, then it resets. No interface appears. Ive
tried it twice with the same result. I'll dig out the dbs shortly.

cheers

I have the TX but not the registered version to check it out yet. Will
do it when I do.

Hi Thea

The announcement went out to all registered users (yourself included)
a few hours ago. Hem... is your account interpreting my emails as
spam?

:)

Okay, this makes no sense - you are in my contact book, I have regular
email from you, you are not in spam, but the only one I have is the
free update. It does happen sometimes, but not sure why.

I just sent it to you again from my private email box.
Let me know if you don't receive that. This could be related to the
"Great Firewall"...

Now that one DID come in, but into junk - go figure... I have trouble
with folks in my contacts book or anywhere else legit coming into
junk, but only now and then. I actually expected to find it when you
suggested that, but no. It's rare for yours to end up there. But today
is a special day, I guess! The good news is that I have it, and will
now update.

Thanks Alex!!

Yup - launched and got a black screen then full reset.

Sorry!

I'm beginning to believe that ninerpad is cursed. And I just tried
importing Michael's data and all the drawings came out blank (all
records were skipped).

... 1.1R2 pullout coming very soon (minutes, perhaps).

:(

Thea, what version were you running before the upgrade to 1.1R2? Was
it 1.1R1 too?

Whatever the last most recent was - I have kept up to date. I believe
it was 1.1R1, yes.

Okay. And did you try launching again after the reset? Was that
followed by another reset?
A.

One thing comes to mind. Did you perform a hotsync at any time between
1.1 and this new version?

Sorry to be late getting back - no, no hotsync - and did not try again
yet. But glad you could partly reproduce. Good luck - This is one part
of why we appreciate you, you know! :-)
