what is the format for your name and password?

Thanks movieguy. I should have updated the Mugshot page when I
released the last version. I've done this now and omitted any mention
of "auth1.txt" to avoid confusion. Up till now, because I myself have
never had any problems with email addresses that don't work, testing
has proved difficult! However, I would appreciate knowing which email
provider you're using, and if it's a common one?

The latest version of Mugshot can still attempt to send authenticated
emails though. Create a text file called "auth.txt" and then type

USERNAME, <your_username>
PASSWORD, <your_password>

Then go to "Email Options->Send a test email"

Sending authenticated emails, being a test feature, only works here
and not in the main surveillance part of the app at the moment. But if
that works for you, or any one else for that matter, I'll devote some
time to making it work during surveillance too.
