Does "Exposure" work?
I can't get a long exposure with "Exposure". The program returns the
following error when a 10 sec exposure is attempted. I am running
Vista.

"Null pointer (Null array pointer is passed) in function CVGetMat, D:
\User\VP\Opencv\cxcore\src\cxarray.cpp (2763)

I've tried it WITHOUT my camera program working, WITH my camera
program working and WITH another web cam capturing program with the
same results.

I see a lot of stuff on the web to rewire my web cam to get long
exposures, but if this program works, it is worth more than $5.

Hi,

I'm afraid that I can't reproduce this problem. Are you sure that you
have the latest version of Exposure (downloadable from
http://www.nimisis.com/projects/exposure.php)? Yes, a webcam is
definitely required but it will say no webcam detected if one isn't
plugged in.

If the problem persists, would you be able to try it on another
computer? It's also possible that you have a non-standard webcam. The
resolutions supported are 320x480, 640x480 and 1280x960.

Hope that helps!
Dave

Thanks Dave,

I have a Philips SPC900NC and I also tried it on my family computer
which runs Windows XP. Same result. I am running version 3.2. After
the 1st error message, I receive the following error message.
Executable exposure.exe Pid14fc Tid 1468 Module Cam ext 40v32.ax, 1
objects left open at line 320 of F:\dev64\dsdll\dllentry.cpp. Since
Vista has some administrative safeguards built-in, I ran it with full
administrative privileges (when I did this it went back to the trial
version 3.2). What I'm thinking is that when I activated the license
- I should have done it in the full administrative privileges mode.
Are you familiar with this VISTA (problem) function?
