CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

Most Wanted: Music Research will take place on November 4 and 5, 2026 at Hotel nhow Berlin (day) and RAW Berlin (night). We invite presentations, discussions, papers, instrument demos, installations and performances from the areas of music business, music culture, music tech, and music education.

TIMELINE

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: Monday, 13th of July, 10:00pm AoE.
  • Deadline for Music Tech Demos, Audiovisual Performances and Workshops: Monday, 13th of July, 10:00pm AoE.
  • Full Paper Submission Deadline: Monday, 3rd of August, 10:00pm AoE. Paper submissions should be made via https://mwm.pubpub.org/mwmr-2026.
  • Contributors Notification by Monday, August 31st.​
Accepted contributors receive free registration for the full conference program of Most Wanted: Music.


THEMATIC STRANDS

Topics may focus, but are not limited to this year’s conference theme REWIRE! which explores the idea of redesigning the music ecosystem. This can be interpreted in many ways such as patching new connections between people, machines, and rewiring (not rebuilding) established structures. Contributions are called for, again not limited to the following thematic strands.
