Aloha Everyone:
As we approach the end of 2009 many of us reflect on all the things we
can be grateful for that occured over the past year. CSJ can be
grateful for many people and projects that have been undertaken during
2009. One of the major events I want to draw your attention to
regarding our collective sense of thankfulness and appreciation relates
to the work that the Texas Counselors for Socia Justice has undertaken
over the past end. The efforts of many allies in our Texas association
culminated in the organizing of a state-wide conference that coincided
with the Texas Counseling Association meeting in November.
This was a tremendous event with over 2,000 persons attending the Texas
Counseling Association's state conference and many allies participating
in workshops that focused on social justice counseling and advocacy
issues.
Please joing me in applauding the work of our colleagues in Texas to
promote the multicultural-social justice paradigm in that state and
particularly the work of the following persons in organizing the
meetings of the Texas Counselors for Social Justice association.
