Dear Friends,
Its a very sad state that our YAMUNA River the sacred source of
spiritual bliss from ages and pleasure giver of Vraja Dham and Lord
Krishna’s pastimes is slowly in a disappearing mood due to the extreme
passionate nature of the authorities to divert the main source of
water flowing into it and also dumping gallons of untreated water from
the sewage.
Millions of people visit Braj dham (Vrindavan, Barasana, Mathura)
every year ( 11.3 millions in 2010 as per Govt Figures), but very few
are aware of actual situation of the dham in the sense that many
important places & lila sthali are being destroyed for commercial
purpose, for making buildings etc. Yamuna river is declared as almost
dead river due to chemical wastes being thrown in it every day. (Even
Indian Government website declares it as dead river).
There are native devotees in Barasana and Vrindavan who are trying to protect
the lila sthalis. Some of them are travelling across India & world and
spreading the awareness about current situation of Braj bhumi. The
message has been received with great favor and attention at each place
and people have shown a genuine concern for the current state of Braj
Dham. It is all about educating people, inspiring and awakening them
about current condition of braj bhoomi.
We as Indians cannot really be silent spectators to this callousness
of the authorities. Lets wake them up by writing and spreading this
message to all your contacts as much as possible.
In case we don't have out tap water for daily activities in the
morning we get so upset and call for corrective action - In this case
too the river is Krishna’s personnel line for his spiritual Leelas and
lets call on his behalf for setting it right. We are also responsible
for each animal who drinks this water and slowly dies unknowingly from
the current waters of YAMUNA JI.
