HARE KRISHNA TO ALL NEAR & DEAR ONES

WE ARE VERY FORTUNATE TO ORGANIZE JAGANNATH RATH YATRA IN GUDUR ON JULY 13th 2013.

SEEKING YOUR PRAYERS and BLESSINGS

Significance Of Rath Yatra

Sri Jagannath means Lord of Universe (Supreme Enjoyer, Proprietor & Controller), gives spiritual strength and happiness through Balaramji and complete protection through Subhadra Mai. Hence people who take darshan of Lord Jagannath, Baladevji  and Subhadra Mai on Rath are ensured happiness and protection in this very life time.

“Rathechavamanam dhrustya punarjanma na vidhyate”. It is said in vedas that anybody who takes the dharshan of Lord Jagannath on the Rath will not have repeated births. It means anybody who is trying to end their suffering in this very life time should involve in Rath Yatra for liberation. For many centuries Jagannath Rath Yatra was only organized in Puri (Orissa) and Lord’s Darshan was available only for people who go to Puri. By mercy of Srila Bakthi Vedhanta Swami Prabupada, ISKCON Acharya Founder, today Lord Jagannath is giving dharshan to all the people around the world irrespective of caste, creed, color, and religion.

Just by darshan of the lord if we can get the benefit of liberation, then how one can estimate the benefit, if one stands before rath, pay obeisances, walk along with rath, pull the rath, dance and sing the glories of the lord? By involving in the service of the Lord we become so dear to him. There are many services and many opportunities to serve the Lord. Lord accepts any menial service done to him and He reciprocates to us in larger way.

Srimad Bhagavatam has recorded histories of many devotees whose services were accepted and how Lord responded to them in larger way.

Gajendra prayers (caught by crocodile)

8.2.33

yaḥ kaścaneśo balino 'ntakoragāt

pracaṇḍa-vegād abhidhāvato bhṛśam

bhītaḿ prapannaḿ paripāti yad-bhayān

mṛtyuḥ pradhāvaty araṇaḿ tam īmahi

The Supreme Personality of Godhead is certainly not known to everyone, but He is very powerful and influential. Therefore, although the serpent of eternal time, which is fearful in force, endlessly chases everyone, ready to swallow him, if one who fears this serpent seeks shelter of the Lord, the Lord gives him protection, for even death runs away in fear of the Lord. I therefore surrender unto Him, the great and powerful supreme authority who is the actual shelter of everyone.

Lord’s Response

8.3.33

taḿ vīkṣya pīḍitam ajaḥ sahasāvatīrya

sa-grāham āśu sarasaḥ kṛpayojjahāra

grāhād vipāṭita-mukhād ariṇā gajendraḿ

saḿpaśyatāḿ harir amūmucad ucchriyāṇām

Thereafter, seeing Gajendra in such an aggrieved position, the unborn Supreme Personality of Godhead, Hari, immediately got down from the back of Garuḍa by His causeless mercy and pulled the King of the elephants, along with the crocodile, out of the water. Then, in the presence of all the demigods, who were looking on, the Lord severed the crocodile's mouth from its body with His disc. In this way He saved Gajendra, the King of the elephants.

Bhagavad Gita 9.27(Lord Krishna To Arjuna)

yat karosi yad asnasi
yaj juhosi dadasi yat
yat tapasyasi kaunteya
tat kurusva mad-arpanam

O son of Kunti, all that you do, all that you eat, all that you offer and give away, as well as all austerities that you may perform, should be done as an offering unto Me.

Bhagavad Gita 9.28(Lord Krishna to Arjuna)

subhasubha-phalair evam
moksyase karma-bandhanaih
sannyasa-yoga-yuktatma
vimukto mam upaisyasi

In this way you will be freed from all reactions to good and evil deeds, and by this principle of renunciation you will be liberated and come to Me.
