There are two alt keys on the keyboard. If you look at the bottom row of keyboard you can see the one on the left side of space bar and the other on the right side of space bar. The alt key on the right side will be looking like alt, alt gr or alt car. Turn off the computer. Hold the alt key on the left and tap f10 continuously. It will go to repair mode. It will show you chose an option, continue, troubleshoot. If it is not going to repair mode, turn off the computer. Turn on the computer. Hold the right alt key ( alt gr or alt car or alt ) and then tap f10 continuously. It will go to chose an option continue and troubleshoot..

Note: You can also go to chose an option , continue , troubleshoot by holding the alt key + tapping f10 or alt gr + tapping f10 on the keyboard while turning on the computer. Once you see the troubleshoot option, you can stop tapping the f10 and stop holding the alt key. Then you can try the keep my files and remove everything ( just remove by files and fully clean the drive ) by following the steps which was mentioned above.

Typically that is caused by a problem with the underlying USB port that connects the camera to the motherboard. Sometimes a restart will fix it, sometimes doing Windows Updates fixes it, sometimes it's fixed by reinstalling the USB host drivers and sometimes it fixes itself via magic. I think it's a bug Microsoft introduced in the HAL quite some time ago that only shows up occasionally, but haven't been able to pin it down closer. It seems to affect most newer systems, not just Acer, and can present as camera problems, Bluetooth problems, WiFi problems, etc..

You can scan for driver updates automatically and install them manually with the free version of the Acer Camera Driver Update Utility, or complete all necessary driver updates automatically using the premium version.

Click the Update button next to your driver. The correct version will be downloaded and installed automatically. Or, you can click the Update All button at the bottom to automatically download and install the correct version of all the drivers that are missing or out-of-date on your system.

To find the latest driver, including Windows 11 drivers, choose from our list of most popular Acer Camera downloads or search our driver archive for the driver that fits your specific Acer camera model and your PC's operating system.

After downloading your driver update, you will need to install it. Driver updates come in a variety of file formats with different file extensions. For example, you may have downloaded an EXE, INF, ZIP, or SYS file. Each file type has a slightly different installation procedure to follow. Visit our Driver Support Page to watch helpful step-by-step videos on how to install drivers based on their file extension.

My problem is that my webcam is not found, e.g., I open a chatting webpage, where the webcam can be activated, my webcam is not found. Also, if I open the software Cheese, no camera is detected. My laptop has a webcam and it less than 2 months old. Thus, the webcam should work - I hope so.

Please confirm if the camera worked on windows or any other linux os? My research suggests that this is due to missing driver. There 3 ways to solve this problem. First will be switch to windows if camera is that important for your usage. Second would be to compile a kernel with the driver support yourself as mentioned in the second link or wait for a newer kernel. Try installing kernel linux63 aka version 6.3 and boot into that to see if it works.

I have tried the kernel version 63 - the camera still could not be found. Now, I try to install windows using a virtual machine. The software which I intend to use for that is called boxen. Thank you for your reply, I will keep you updated.

Boxen does not allow me to specify the installation path of widows. Oracle VirtualBox is better, however, windows 11 says, my laptop would not fulfil the minimal requirements. This is not true, since it originally came with windows 11. Anyhow, I do not want to devote too much time to this issue. I just wait for updates.

Can't find the camera driver in Device Manager on your device? If so, the problem could be either software-related or a camera malfunction. Don't fret, though; it's easy to fix. This guide will explain why the camera driver may disappear from your Device Manager and how to fix it.

If the camera driver doesn't appear in the Device Manager, ensure it's not hidden and that the camera isn't disabled. If that isn't the case, install camera drivers manually, reset the camera, run the camera troubleshooter, and run Windows built-in scans. If these fixes fail, you should manually add the hardware or reset your computer.

The Device Manager gives users an option to hide devices. Once you hide them, these devices disappear from the Device Manager. Therefore, if you don't see the Camera device, it might have been hidden by mistake. To make sure that's not the case or to unhide the device if it has been hidden, follow these steps:

There is a built-in Camera troubleshooter on Windows that can help you identify and fix camera-related problems. Therefore, running the troubleshooter may also resolve this issue. Follow these steps to run it:

Make sure corrupt system files are not causing the problem. To rule out this possibility, you need to run a few scans, such as SFC, DISM, and CHKDSK. If you have never performed these scans before, our guide on repairing corrupt files with Windows built-in tools explains how to run them. So, run these scans before moving on.

When a driver gets corrupt, or you mistakenly uninstall it, Windows is supposed to automatically reinstall it when you restart the computer. If the camera driver is not appearing in Device Manager after restarting the computer, you should manually install it.

To do that, go to your laptop manufacturer's website, for instance, HP, Lenovo, Dell, etc., search for the latest camera driver, and download it. Once you have downloaded the driver, follow the on-screen instructions to install it, just like any other driver or program.

For the Camera app to function, it must have permission to access your device's camera. If this permission is disabled, the camera application may not even launch, causing unexpected problems. To ensure permission restrictions aren't causing this issue as well, ensure this permission is enabled.

If you've modified the settings for the camera app recently and are experiencing the issue under discussion afterward, reset the app. You won't lose any data by resetting the camera app, but it will revert all customizations you've made. Therefore, you will need to customize the app from scratch.

The Device Manager allows users to manually add devices that aren't detected automatically by the system. So, in the next step, add the camera device to Device Manager via the Add Hardware wizard. This wizard lets you install the hardware either manually or automatically. Let's go with the automatic option to keep things simple.

If the camera device fails to restore after running this automatic check, follow steps one to three again and select the second option; Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced).

If none of these fixes work and the camera device doesn't appear in the Device Manager, there may be a hardware issue. So, you should take your laptop for a thorough inspection. If the device is still under warranty, you should have it checked by the manufacturer rather than a local shop.

Having no camera driver available in Device Manager for troubleshooting camera issues can be irritating. Unless there is a hardware issue, you'll be able to restore it using the above fixes. In the same way as Camera, other devices can also disappear from the Device Manager. If that happens, don't panic, they can also be easily fixed.

The new Sphere2 software adds enhanced visual capabilities to lesson creation, 1 to 1 student engagement and collaboration. With the ability to add multiple cameras and content in one screen and with the new Class Student Engagement feature, teachers can transmit screenshots directly to your students' devices over existing Wi-Fi networks. Students can easily view, and interact with curriculum on many levels, whether at school or at home.

Sphere2 now allows you to configure your software to recognize students' devices that are equipped with the ClassSend app. Teachers can not only create, record and share their custom lessons, but they can now interactively send their content to their students' devices, ensuring their direct participation in the classroom session! Through the ClassSend app, students are empowered to modify, annotate and transmit their work back to the teacher!

Sphere2 is a complete presentation, content development and sharing software solution; however its simplicity is just as extraordinary as what it does. With easy to navigate tools to present live video, control your document camera(s), annotate, manipulate, record and share. Your students will be actively immersed in your curriculum.

Sphere2 allows you to present content from multiple sources, organized in up to 6 screens at one time. It also allows you to display live video from your document camera, wireless camera, and even your web cam simultaneously!

A chemical reaction can be demonstrated under the document camera, as the teacher is presented live through the webcam. A wireless camera can be at a student station as the group conducts the experiment at the same time, all being viewed by the class. Additional content such as the Periodic Table or results can be displayed in other screens, as well.

Then using the new Class feature, send a freeze-frame of the experiment to each of your students' 1 to 1 devices, asking them to annotate (using their device's ClassSend app) where the key elements can be found on the Periodic Table.

Whether presenting content in one full screen, or as many as 6, you can rearrange the windows, resize them, mark and annotate over all, then record the entire lesson from start to finish. All screens, including all annotation and audio can be recorded as one complete video.
