"ValueError: no path specified" when changing an asset file

Hi,
I'm experiencing error messages when using "nikola auto". As soon
as I change any "assert" file in the theme, I get several of these
error messages like this:

Is this something on my side? Shall I file a bug report?

this is a known issue that has already been fixed on the master branch
and will be fixed in the next release:
