Hi,

i am wondering if there is a way to use image metadata like 'alt' other
than directly under the image directive:

.. image:: /images/image.png

    :alt: alt_text

This works, but when using the same image several times, the same meta
data needs to be specified.

Is there a way of using e.g. a image.png.meta file?

(It appears to me they won't get used when they are in the source code.)

Thanks a lot in advance,

Daniel

There isn't support for that but sounds like a useful thing to me.
