Well, I told you I had a secret identity... Alex Cliff is really me! I wanted to write some books that were for boys and for girls who like adventure stories, books with monsters and adventures and magic in and so I wrote Superpowers. I decided to write it under the name Alex Cliff so that people reading it wouldn't think it was going to have fairies and unicorns in. I had great fun writing this series and they are very popular. If you read them I hope you enjoy them.

Join Max and Fin on their roller-coaster ride of action, excitement and fun!

The minister did not specifically mention the two major superpowers but said that "deepening rivalry between great powers" not only "presented yet another challenge for ASEAN", but also added to the world's problems of coronavirus, conflicts and tensions, refugee crisis and climate change.

Over the past few years, geopolitical tension between the US and China has increased in the Indo-Pacific region, which spans the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, with Indonesia and Southeast Asia being at the center.

Shortly before Retno's speech on Thursday, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison on Thursday signed a treaty to facilitate joint exercises as they vowed in a virtual meeting to strengthen security cooperation.

The competition between the two great powers has overtaken the world agenda and is shaping foreign policy decisions globally. Therefore, this book bundle was compiled with special attention to the reactions of middle and smaller powers in the face of this competition, aiming to give the reader a broader perspective to interpret what awaits the world more holistically.

Will the shift in the balance of power between the U.S. and China lead to a war? International relations theory predicts that shifts between a hegemon and a rising power may trigger actions with such consequences. Steve Chan examines how many of these theories hold true in the case of U.S.-China relations with Taiwan remaining a flash point for a possible Sino-American conflict.

Kevin Rudd, a former Australian prime minister who spent more than forty years in China, puts the turbulent relationship between the U.S. and China under the spotlight with insightful analyses based on his firsthand understanding of the mindsets of the leadership whose judgment will determine whether the future course of events will escalate to a war.

Information War: How Artificial Intelligence Is Driving U.S.-China Military Competition addresses a crucial variable shaping the intensifying confrontation between the U.S. and China: the struggle to control information. How will modern technology be wielded in a rising conflict between the two superpowers?

Stefanick draws attention to artificial intelligence, which will play an important role. Information War: How Artificial Intelligence Is Driving U.S.-China Military Competition reviews the recent Chinese research and trends in AI to determine how it will approach the conflict, and provides a sober view of how artificial intelligence will be weaponized in the new information war.

What path does a middle power take when engrossed in the competition between great powers? Do they get caught up between the two or forge a path of their own? In the heating U.S.-China rivalry, what are the strategic responses of middle powers in the Asia-Pacific? The Strategic Options of Middle Powers in the Asia-Pacific examines these questions through the specific case studies of South Korea, Australia, Japan, India, Taiwan, and Vietnam from their local perspectives.

Geo-politics is a dangerous game. To readers and observers, it is an exhilarating show of big, titan countries facing off for hegemony. Yet, in a world where nuclear capability determines the outcome, one miscalculation may transform the world into a flashpoint. Whether it be the story of Athens and Sparta fighting to the end, the cold between of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) and the United States of America (US), or the economic war between the US and China; history is replete with the wars of great powers, all vying to establish supremacy over international order.

China is a rising superpower, and it needs to gain spheres of influence in order to project power. The Indo-Pacific region, due to its proximity to China and immense importance, could be its ticket to hegemony.

Magolor is a recurring character in the Kirby series, serving as the main antagonist and final boss of Kirby's Return to Dream Land and its remake, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe. He tricks Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Bandana Waddle Dee into rebuilding his Lor Starcutter and defeating Landia so he could steal the Master Crown and conquer the universe.

After being defeated by Kirby and his friends, he is banished to the depths of Another Dimension. After destroying the Master Crown for good, he escapes to the Dream Kingdom and becomes the shopkeeper in the Village. Having reformed himself, he later helps Team Kirby on their quest to save the Dream Kingdom from threats.

Magolor also likes building theme parks, which he has done three times: The New Challenge Stages in Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition, the theme park in Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe, and Merry Magoland in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe.

Magolor is a short alien with no feet and detached hands with cream mittens. He is clad in a regal blue suit with a gold trimmed cog design on the front and back, as well as a bit of purple right above them. He wears a white cape that has cream trimmings, and gold-trimmed cog designs, along with a white scarf that has a blue belt interwoven. On this belt is a silver buckle. His face is brown with oval-shaped yellow eyes. The rest of his head is covered by his hood, with his cat-like ears underneath, causing his hood to poke out at its sides. His hood is blue like the rest of his robe with a gold trimmed cog design, and the protrusions covering his ears have a gold line circling around them and have white tips. One line of dialogue in Kirby's Return to Dream Land states that he has hair, though his hair is never shown.

In his Traitor Form, Magolor has a gaseous blood-red colored body with a blue aura emanating from it. He now wears white gloves that each have five fingers and are now separated by a pair of pink magical sun-shaped runes. His face is now black (the glow from his eyes sometimes make it appear dark brown) and his eyes are orange (though they would become red with an angry expression when he has half of his health left). Magolor's hood grows outward and furls into what resembles a jester's hat, obtaining a purple hue with a slightly lighter shade of purple that is white at the tips of the horns. He also has gold rings around his horns. His scarf remains white, but it is larger and is cinched together by a purple and silver-buckled belt, giving the appearance of a veil. The Master Crown sits atop his head, its claws noticeably clasping down on it, and also has a green jewel in the middle.

In his Final Traitor Form, Magolor's horns now grow to enormous proportions and become even more curved at the ends, resembling a ram's horns and seemingly becoming part of his body. They retain the same coloration as his previous form. The Master Crown has sprouted golden tentacles that wrap under his gaseous body, which reforms itself to become two large red wings that are outlined in blue and set behind his back with a pair of smaller ones below them. Magolor also has gold spiral-shaped rings that are wrapped around his horns while still retaining the smaller gold rings from his previous form. Magolor has a pair of red eyes and a third eye on his face that is shaped into a grin while his hands now have black fingertips. He still retains the pink magical sun shaped-runes around his hands. During his second phase, Magolor periodically shuts and opens his third eye to reveal a red iris and a black pupil (very similar to Dark Matter and to a lesser extent, Zero and 0) in place of the vacant grin. His face is remains black and has hues of blue appearing, with a droplet of his upper lip dripping over his eye, giving it the appearance of slightly melting.

In his Traitor EX Form, Magolor's appearance is much darker and grimmer than it was before, now known as Magolor EX. His wisp-like body is now completely red with a darker shade around the edges instead of being blue. Magolor EX's hat is now dark purple and black with red at the tips of the horns. The Master Crown now has a pink jewel in its center instead of green. The scarf around his neck turned black and the belt interwoven in the scarf is red. Magolor EX's face now glows white and his eyes are initially hot pink, but they transition into red with an angry expression when he has half of his health left like his Story Mode counterpart. He still retains the pink sun-shaped runes around his hands. Sometimes, while bending his body in both the battle and the transition to his second phase, a hot pink area similar in to his eyes in color is visible under his scarf, resembling a mouth (the hot pink area is removed in the remake).

In Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, and Super Kirby Clash, Magolor wears a green shopkeeper garb with a white cape that has dark tan trimmings, and a white scarf with a green belt interwoven, this time with a gold buckle. The protrusions covering his ears now have bronze lines and green tips and he now wears yellow-orange mittens. Once the player has bought all of the regular weapons and armor, Magolor will dress in his original robes.
