Hi
Our team of about 10 developers has a problem in nightwatch.
All running on Macbook iOs 10.12 and have same selenium server installed, chrome driver and so on.

What we see is that on some machines the tests run really really slow on the browser (chrome) whereas on other machines it runs smooth.
It;s the same code obviously that we are checking with.

Has someone saw a problem like this and have a clue how to solve it ?

Thanks,
Sefi

Which Node.js version? Is it consistently slow, or only once in a while? You don't really need the selenium server when using Chromedriver: http://nightwatchjs.org/getingstarted#chromedriver. So maybe your team can try using Chromedriver directly.

Sefi,

Perhaps the "/etc/hosts" workaround described here would help you?

What I've seen when people come to me with varying experiences running the same test code is that configurations are usually the culprit.

Here's what I do.

Upgrade your JDK to latest.
Upgrade your node/npm to latest.
Upgrade your nightwatch to latest.
Be running El Capitan or Sierra OS.
Upgrade chromedriver to latest version.
Ensure you are using selenium server 3.0.1
Ensure VPN connection is correct
Ensure network configuration is identical
Ensure no proxies are set up
