Upcoming Point in Time Count

At the end of January, we will be doing the annual Point-in-Time Count
of the sheltered and unsheltered homeless. Last year we did our best
to make sure that people knew the count was coming and why we were
doing the count (to gather information that can be used to determine
which services are needed in the community).

I was thinking that it probably isn't too early to begin talking this
up when the NightWatch teams go out or when you are visiting your
homeless friends. We really want the word to get out that it is GOOD
to be counted. There may also be some unsheltered folks who would
like to go with us as ambassadors when we do the unsheltered count.

Lastly, if YOU would like to get involved with this year's count as a
volunteer counter, please contact me as we are building the volunteer
list. Send me your name, e-mail, and phone number(s). All volunteers
are required to attend the training on January 15.

just irritate all of the members.

Please send me any ideas you have for improving the accuracy of our
count result. Even though last year was a big improvement, we want to
continually improve.
