Subject: CIPAIR 2011 Request for Proposal Workshop

NASA will soon be releasing a funding opportunity under the Curriculum Improvement Partnership Award for the Integration of Research (CIPAIR) project, which is part of NASA’s Minority University Research and Education Program (MUREP). The goals of CIPAIR are built upon four elements, (1) establishment or strengthening of relationships of Minority Institutions (MI) faculty with NASA Centers; (2) integration of NASA-related content and research opportunities into the MI curriculum; (3) involvement of students in program development and improvement; and (4) commitment of the MI administration to long-term sustainability. CIPAIR will be accepting proposals from 2- year minority institutions and/or 2-year minority institutions and their 4-year partners who have received less than $750,000 over the past 3 years.

To learn more about this opportunity, you can participate via webcast on Friday, January 21, 2011, or at four (4) site-based pre-proposal workshops hosted by the UNCF Special Programs Corporation (UNCFSP) across the country. See registration information below. Site participation will provide an overview of the CIPAIR funding opportunity and will also include sessions on basic grant writing and budgeting training.
