Every Agenda Has A List of Items: TTA Is Alive, Only One Item Has Been Shot Down.

In the midst of the euphoria that greets the Death of the TTA in the
two legislative chambers, I was compelled to dig up the lessons of our
past skirmishes with the "Maradona" between 1984 to 1993. What we
fought then was a serial battle against what was then known as "Hidden
Agenda". If experience would serve me well, this Third Term Agenda
(TTA) is also in the similitude of serial battle that would go beyond
2007.

What just happened on the floor of the National Assembly is deleting an
item from the list of an agenda albeit TTA. I laughed silently when
people talk of Plan B. What gave them the impression that we are not up
against a serial Plan C, Plan D, Plan E,....etc. etc?

While we bask in this victory, let us be mindful of the intoxicant
still present in the veins of our rulers.
