This is a popular song in Yoruba, meaning that God is fearful in His
doings, and whenever He purposes to accomplish a matter NOBODY,
including Obasanjo can stop Him. Two men in the last decade and a half
called God into a battle and lost woefully. In fact one paid with his
life (Abacha). The second is still roaming around in political disgrace
till now.
Please, get me right and don't be offended or misunderstand my
appreciation of the battle we fought on the barricades between 1993
-1998 to save and restore democracy. But Abacha did not lose to NADECO,
he lost to a fearful GOD. On the eve of his death, we had fought the
regime to a standstill. The inertia of his remnant in power is what
drove the five leprous parties created by him to endorse him a their
common presidential candidate. I fear that OBJ too may not loose to the
myriad of anti-3rd term agitators and politicians, but to the same and
unchanging fearful GOD that consumed Abacha and disgraced 'Maradona'
IBB.
I refuse to asuume the garment of a fortune teller this morning, but
the intoxicant that drives a prophet into divine declaration is already
present in the polity. the palpable anger and disenchantment of the
people can be felt everywhere you go these days. Like I said yesterday,
leave the legislative manipulations alone, the creeks would soon vote
and the streets would not endorse iniquity. Vox populi vox Dei.
OBJ has drawn battle against GOD, it would be strange foir him to beat
HIM.
