Dear Dr. Yahaya Adamu,

We are proud and honored to announce the organization of the 23rd World Congress of the World Society of Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons (W.S.C.T.S.). The Meeting will be held September 12th till 15th 2013, at Le Meridien Lav Hotel, in the City of Split, one of the oldest and most charming cities of the Adriatic Sea, in the Country of Croatia, one of the newest members of the European Union.

The official host of the 23rd W.S.C.T.S. World Congress is the University Hospital Center "Rebro", by the way of its Cardiac Surgery Department. The Croatian Scientific Committee and the Congress Chairman, Professor Dr. Bojan Biocina, the W.S.C.T.S. Honorary Committee, the International Scientific Committee, as well as all the members involved in the organization of this Congress, are all joining their efforts to make of this Meeting an event you will never forget.

Our aim for the 23rd W.S.C.T.S. World Congress is to introduce a multidisciplinary, up-to-date scientific program on Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery, Cardiology, Anesthesiology, Nursing, Perfusion andRespiration, a program that will meet the expectations of all possible Distinguished participants in the Cardiothoracic Healthdelivery Team. Our aim for the 23rd W.S.C.T.S. World Congress is also to give the opportunity to as many Cardiac Surgeons of the world as possible, to get together, meet each other, exchange knowledge and experience, beyond competition, political or other issues involved. The W.S.C.T.S. idea of globalization will be served in all its splendor.
