Dear Hon. Vice Chancellors, Proctors, Deans, Head of the Departments and Scholarship Aspirants,
Merck Foundation, established in 2017, is the philanthropic arm of Merck KGaA, Germany that aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people and advance their lives through science and technology. Our efforts are primarily focused on improving access to quality and equitable healthcare solutions in underserved communities, building healthcare and scientific research capacity and empowering people in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with a special focus on women and youth.
Through our Merck Foundation Scholarship Program, we are striving to improve access to better healthcare in underserved communities. By educating and training the medical graduates, we want to basically strengthen the local capacities and enhance the clinical management processes. The goal is to raise awareness for these health conditions as well as to support healthcare systems with the measures to prevent, diagnose and manage them effectively.
