Dear Lown Scholars,

We have extended the deadline to apply for the 2026 Lown Scholars Summer Program, giving everyone more time to recommend excellent candidates.

If you have someone who you think would be a good fit, we ask that you please send us the person's name and CV by no later than Monday, October 27th. This will allow us time to review potential candidates and invite them to apply by the November 3rd deadline. Please note, they do not have to have a mentor in order to apply to the program. Here are the eligibility criteria:

  • Hold a full-time position in a low- or middle-income country
  • Have demonstrated interest and experience in public health and CVD
  • Mid-career, defined as about 5 to 15 years after their highest degree; at least 10 publications on CVD prevention; and served as the PI on a few small projects but no major projects as PI

Thank you for your help in creating the 2026 cohort!
