Dear LIPRA members,

I hope all is well.

May I ask you all to help promote the first LatAm webinar:
Global Epidemic of Obesity and Cardiovascular Disease: The heart of the problem, on Wednesday,
on May 08 at 18:00 CET ( 16:00 UTC), please?

It will be very helpful if you can promote the webinar at your national society, hospital, clinic, and Healthcare professionals’ channels in your country and beyond.

Please use social media, word of mouth, newsletters, etc.

Webinar outline (programme attached):

This webinar will be in English with Spanish subtitles.

Chair: Dr Fabiana Rached and Professor Sergio Kaiser
Speakers with the topic:
Professor José Francisco Kerr Saraiva: Overweight and obesity burden: A global and Latin American perspective.
Professor Marianne Benn: The link between obesity and cardio-renal injury: New insights into pathophysiology.

Professor Naveed Sattar: Reduction of cardiovascular risk in people living with obesity: What works and what doesn’t.

On May 8th, we're launching the inaugural LatAm-EAS webinar!
Take this historic step with us and register for and share information with your colleagues about this first-ever collaboration between EAS and Latin American national societies.
This first webinar is aimed at addressing the obesity burden from an epidemiological perspective,
the pathophysiological derangements that link ectopic adiposity with heart and kidney diseases, and the therapeutic strategies to tackle this challenge.
Please note that even if your members don't speak English fluently, it's not a problem at all. We answer to your expectations and provide Spanish subtitles.
