Hi Lucky and Team Bistro,
What can I say.......????

Nice work, Lucky and Austin.  You are doing a great job and based on what I am seeing in your blogs, you are well on your way to passing your chosen AACE certification(s)........  After the class is over, I will be happy to provide you with a great recommendation on your linked in profiles for your fine "leadership by example" and your perseverance.   I am very favorably impressed.......

And Reginald and Charles, I recognize your efforts to catch up and can only encourage you to keep trying to close the gap......  Not too late but you have to produce at least two blog postings a week and make sure they are on topics coming from the problems in Engineering Economy, Humphrey's or if you want to sit for your PSP, then from the new GAO "Best Practices in Scheduling" http://www.gao.gov/assets/600/591240.pdf  All you need to do is compare your schedules from work against the "best practice" checklist and publish that as your blog postings.......  IF you want to sit for your CEP, then you need to be posting based on the GAO or the DoE "Best Practices" in Cost Estimating, which you already have.......  Those two resources will you the best information in the least possible time.

Folakemi and Norbert- you are still within striking range, but you've got a LOT of catching up to do........  My best and only advice to you right now is look at what your colleagues are doing in Indonesia.... http://mercureaace2013.wordpress.com/   I just cannot make it any simpler- take their blog posting topics and follow what they have done step by step, but instead of using Indonesian numbers replace those numbers with Nigerian numbers........  Just be sure to give them credit if you use their work........

Looking forward to seeing you in only another 3 weeks.......  Happy Easter to one and all.......

BR,
Dr. PDG, Jakarta

Well Team Bistro12,
Hard to believe but this course is almost over with..........

Just a reminder that the 3 day face to face final review session will be on April 15-17, so you need to make your preparations now........

The agenda is:
Day 1-  Review the Mid Term Exam and self-correct it.
Day 2- More Sample Exam Questions
Day 3- AM More Sample Exam Questions
Day 3- PM Open to review anything you want to go over.......

Be SURE to bring whichever calculator you plan on using in the real exams with you.  You need to be over the learning curve on how to use those calculators as time IS a problem in the AACE exams.....  And during the exam you will have no time to figure out how to use your calculator......

Also, I am not really clear, but has everyone applied to AACE to take one or more of the exams yet?  If not, you really should get that done, as we have learned that most people reach their "peak readiness" about 10 -15 days AFTER the final review session. (The longer you wait AFTER that, the more you forget and the less likely you are to PASS on the first attempt)

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter and looking forward to seeing those who are left standing in only a few short weeks....

Dr. PDG, Jakarta, Indonesia
