There is a new experimental version of the niftysolution plugin in the
repository. The big change is that I had to rewrite the quickopen
command for Windows XP 64bit. It's now hopefully much quicker as well,
with a new interface. If you want you can download the latest
installer in the repository from here:

http://niftyplugins.googlecode.com/svn-history/r58/trunk/Build/Experimental_NiftySolution.msi

Any feedback, feature requests, issues are appreciated.

Cheers,
Jim

When trying to use the command I get an error that says the Add-in
could not be loaded. Any idea what could be going on? I'll investigate
the issue tomorrow if it works fine on your side.

Hm, I did "fix" my spelling mistake in the installer, so the plugin
now shows up correctly as "NiftySolution" instead of the old name of
"NiftySetup". If in doubt, go to the control panel and remove both the
packages. Then reinstall the new .msi and then before launching visual
studio run this command from the command line:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe
/resetaddin Aurora.NiftySolution.Connect

This will ensure that there is only one addin in the system with the
name Aurora.NiftySolution and it also completely resets all the
settings visual studio knows about regarding this particular plugin.
After this it should in theory work :) Please let me know if this
doesn't work out for you.

I think it might have something to do with the fact that I didn't
uninstall the old version before installing the new one. I did that
here at work, and the new version works fine. I tried to reset the
addin with the command line you suggested, but the error didn't go
away. I'll investigate the problem a bit more tonight.

OK, I deleted the Local Settings/Temp/NiftySoluiton.AddIn file,
reinstalled the plugin and it worked fine this time!

Glad it worked out. Funny that the addin was in the Temp directory
though? That didn't sound right. I'll have to look into that...
