Greetings.

 

This is to inform you that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between National Institute of Fashion Technology and Central Silk Board on 11 May 2026 for the establishment of a “Silk Chair” aimed at strengthening academic, research, innovation, and knowledge exchange initiatives in the domain of silk and allied sectors.

 

In this regard, you are requested to kindly circulate the attached “Expression of Interest” (EOI) among eligible faculty members of your campus and encourage suitable participation for the proposed Silk Chair initiative.

 

The detailed information regarding the objectives, scope, eligibility, and operational framework is enclosed along with a copy of the signed MoU between NIFT and CSB for reference and necessary action.

 

This communication is being issued with the approval of the Competent Authority, Director General, NIFT.

 

Your support in facilitating wide dissemination among faculty members is highly appreciated.
