Launch of Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) and Mobile App – Registration and Usage Guidelines

Sir/Madam,
As previously communicated, the implementation of the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) is currently underway across our campus. We are pleased to announce that the first Aadhar based biometric terminal has been successfully installed and is now operational in Administration Block.
To ensure a seamless transition to this new system, please follow the steps outlined below to record your attendance:
(A) Steps to Mark Attendance (Fingerprint) (Aadhar Based Biometric Attendance)
- Terms and Conditions: Tick on the check box to accept/agree the Terms and Conditions.
- Enter Attendance ID: Type your 6-digit attendance ID (provided by nic.in via SMS) on the device screen.
- Scan Fingerprint: When the red light glows on the scanner, place your finger (thumb or index finger is recommended) on the sensor.
- Wait for Authentication: Keep your finger steady until the screen displays "Authenticating, Please Wait".
- Verify Success: A successful, valid scan will show your photo and attendance type ("Opening" for check-in, "Closing" for check-out).
- Error Check: If a cross or error message (like 997 or 500) appears, re-scan or try another finger.
Tips for Successful Attendance
- Do not move your finger while it is being scanned.
- Do not press too hard on the biometric scanner.
- Use the same finger that was registered at the time of your Aadhaar enrolment.
(B) Steps to Mark Attendance (By using Mobile App)
All the steps are provided in the PDF (Aadhar BioMetric via mobile app installation) attached.
Important point regarding Mobile app:
1. It is mandatory to install both the applications namely Face RD and AadharBAS. Face RD app will not show in your mobile as this would work in backend and marking of attendance will be done with AadharBAS app.
Note: All Officers, Faculty, and Staff are required to mark their daily attendance using the Aadhaar-based machine or mobile app. To ensure accuracy and protect against any potential technical glitches or data discrepancies, please continue to simultaneously mark your attendance on the old biometric machine until further notice.
