REMINDER-1: (Please Nominate Faculty/staff/students) Reference email sent on 15th May 2026

In pursuance of email received from Dean Academics, Head Office NIFT New Delhi regarding observance of World Environment Day (WED) 2026 under the theme of "Climate Change with focus on Mission Life actions" during the campaign period from 15.05.2026 to 05.062026.
Accordingly, Sh. Mohd. Javed, Associate Professor is hereby nominated by Director NIFT Mumbai as a Nodal Officer for coordination, implementation and monitoring of the activities under World Environment Day (WED) 2026 at NIFT Mumbai campus.

The Nodal Officer shall undertake suitable awareness, outreach and engagement activities aligned with sustainability and Mission LIFE themes including:

1. Clothing reuse, repair and upcycling
2. Waste reduction and segregation
3. Reduction of single use plastic
4. Sustainable textiles and circular fashion
5. Water and energy conservation
6. Plantation and environmental awareness activities
7. Handloom / handicraft sustainability initiatives
8. E-waste awareness and collection drives
9. Student and community engagement activities Coordinate the campaign activities at campus level and ensure adequate documentation and visibility through campus CCC / social media teams in alignment with Mission LIFE branding guidelines.

A consolidated action Taken Report (ATR) comprising activity details, photographs, participation data and media / social media links may kindly be uploaded in the following link by 06.06.2026 for onward submission to the Ministry of Textile.
