Initially, users can also request a non-expiring demo version to test and assess different customized system configurations, and, using sample data, create status reports, financial statements, invoices and more.
Both online and on-site training services are available to customers who are interested in receiving help during implementation. Two free online, individual training sessions are available. These tutorials may last up to two hours each.
Pricing also includes its iOS and Android apps for mobile access, multilingual support (for English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese and Vietnamese) and an e-commerce program to let users manage orders and purchase requests online.
ECOUNT offers a free demo that never expires and a seven-day free trial. With the demo, prospective customers can use sample data to create reports, invoices and more, and test out different customized system configurations. With the free trial, users have complete access to all program features available to subscribers. No credit card entry is required for the demo or the trial.
Robotron Energy Market Platform offers comprehensive software solutions for the digitalization of relevant processes for network operators and various commodities, e.g. gas and electricity. Since the liberalization of the German energy market, robotron*ecount has been the market-leading energy data management (EDM) system in Germany. It is one of the main components of the universally designed Robotron Energy Market Platform. robotron*ecount serves all functional requirements of network operators - from advanced meter reading to billing. The successful optimization of processes in mass customer business and communication with market partners is achieved through comprehensive automation and the support of all required communication formats.
robotron*ecount performs plausibility checks and, if necessary, manual or automated substitute value generation of the energy data provided by meter operators. Various procedures check imported time series for plausibility and consistency. In addition to the checks for bad flags, daily or monthly control parameters can be flexibly defined and applied on a line-specific basis. This check is time-controlled via a job in the EDM system.
The check of the data quality of the mass data is carried out with the help of the grouping of multiple time series according to any criteria and a clear tabular view.
Manual substitute value input
Independent of the automated methods, values can be manually overwritten in the system at any time. A complete history is kept for each time series value. Each individual change process can be traced in this way.
Automatic substitute value generation (option)
A status is stored for each time series value in the EDM system. The system supports a number of different methods for automatic substitute value generation or methods that support this process.
The technical quantity determination gas comprises the complete calculation chain according to the technical rule G685 (Germany). Measurement setups with and without volume correctors are taken into account in the same way. Especially when using volume correctors, the K-number is automatically corrected. The procedures according to SGERG and AGA8 are available for calculating the K-number. As a result, the time series for the balancing energy are made available on a daily basis and on a monthly basis for the billing energy for subsequent processes without interfaces.
Thanks to the high degree of flexibility, the regulations of other countries can also be mapped and the module adapted to them. It is provided for all market roles (grid operator, TSO, BCO, BGM and supplier) designated by the legislator.
With the balancing cockpit, it is possible to keep an eye on all relevant deadlines at a glance. Moreover, all necessary functions of the respective processing context can be accessed.
The balancing module for the commodity gas implements the requirements according to GABi Gas and the most recent cooperation agreement with its guidelines. All relevant time series types are automatically aggregated, separated by balancing groups. A network account monitor allows the network accounts and their balances to be controlled. The results of the SLP (standard load profile) balancing are the basis for the calculation of excess/shortfall quantities.
All import and export activities are organized as a result of the networking of companywide communication platforms. Furthermore the import from different grid fee databases for power and gas is done via communication automation. For all cases of application the compliance with the latest IT security and signature regulations is required.
The comprehensive functions of the Robotron Energy Market Platform for all market roles pave the way for the system change to Redispatch 2.0. For the new redispatch regime, Robotron offers comprehensive modular function models for the new requirements for distribution system operators, plant operators, deployment managers, suppliers and balancing group managers. The focus is on process-oriented solutions ranging from intelligent forecasting, market communication, plant control, determination and reconciliation of curtailment quantity, to balancing and billing of curtailment quantities.
The switching process management solution robotron*WPM maps the market communication for implementing the Act on the Digitisation of the Energy Transition. In this way, the Robotron solution creates the basis for the introduction of smart metering systems into market communication. The robotron*Workflow-Engine maps relevant business processes for all market roles through configurable workflows. Furthermore, the solution enables flexible design and adaptation of communication between market partners to IT environment-specific requirements.
Robotron EDM/MDM systems process various transaction data on the basis of which billing can take place. The cross-commodity billing module handles the periodic (e.g. monthly, annually) or one-time billing of the following matters:
for RLM (metered), SLP (standard load profile) customers as well as network operators, traders and suppliers.
Both export to financial accounting systems and electronic billing and the associated market communication are being supported to the full extent.
robotron*Finanzen is a powerful, reliable and innovative financial accounting software for modern energy suppliers. The modular program meets all professional requirements as standard and is certified and successfully in use in numerous German federal states. It can be used either locally on a dedicated server or hosted in a data center.
The modules of the Energy Data Management solution for network operators robotron*ecount support essential value creation processes in the regulated energy market. From remote meter reading to central processes in EDM/MDM and billing, all functional requirements are fully covered. In order to keep an eye on all relevant values and to be able to process calculations and analyses efficiently, the system offers numerous evaluation options. The system also provides for various visualization tools to conveniently analyze individual load curves, group sums, price time series, and much more. Administration is also carried out flexibly via an intuitive administration interface.
From 1 April 2024, all market partners in the electricity sector will be obliged to carry out market communication via the AS4 (Applicability Statement 4) transmission path. Robotron offers a comprehensive service and flexible solutions for the short-term realisation of a sustainable AS4 system architecture.
Low-voltage grids play a key role in the success of the energy, heating and mobility transition. Robotron has been working on intelligent control in low-voltage grids for some time now as part of a subsidised project with other partners. This solution is being developed into a product suitable for mass production that fulfils all the requirements of 14a EnWG, including the necessary communication requirements (EDIFACT, BDEW-WEB-API).
As an experienced IT partner for process changes and format changes in the energy industry, Robotron offers holistic solutions for the redispatch management of all market roles. The portfolio includes function upgrades for data exchange processes for master data with Connect+, feed-in forecasting and the calculation of outage work.
In German market communication, electricity suppliers are to be switched within one working day from 1 April 2025. This will lead to extensive changes in energy industry processes. As an experienced IT partner to the energy industry, Robotron is supporting the changeover.
Robotron does not consider itself to be a pure software supplier, it also provides the full range of services, from consulting and individual project services to comprehensive operational support. We are also happy to be supportive in sharing fundamental industry know-how and in implementing the constantly changing market requirements.
