We are hiring..!! We are looking for IT Engineer 1 for our IT Operations team.

 

Job description

The individual will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, developing and, in some cases participating in designing communication networks within an organization. Their goal is to ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructure in order to provide maximum performance for our sites spread across globally. The support structure would include supporting WAN, LAN, Switches, Routers, Proxy devices, Wireless devices & limited exposure to firewalls. Knowledge about servers (Linux/Windows) would be an added advantage.IT Engineers would work with internal support teams consisting of Global Network Operating teams, on-site support teams and with end customers. 

 Tasks usually include:

·        Working with architecture team to design and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current environment;

·        Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization;

·        Undertaking data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources;

·        Securing network system by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access;

·        Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations;

·        Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information and managing projects;

·        Upgrading data network equipment to latest stable firmware releases;

·        Configuration of routing and switching equipment;

·        Configuration of hosted IP voice services;

·        Remote support of on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation;

·        Remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation;

·        Liaising with project management team, 3rd line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis;

·        Speaking with customers via email and phone for initial requirement capture.

The suitable candidate would be expected to have good oral/written communication in English and will be expected to have high moral and ethical values. Good time management, schedule adherence are expected from the candidates. Adherence to Cypress core values in a must.

Eligibility: 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in CS/IS/EC/TE/EEE 
Experience: 1-3 years of experience (2014/2013 graduates)
Location: Bangalore, India
