Hi all, hope many of you will find a way to join us. At least please share widely.
The #DeafSafeAI Symposium sequence of presentations and panels is designed to scaffold knowledge needed to "design justice" -- that is, to understand the issues, concerns, pros, cons, challenges, risks and so on for using artificial intelligence (AI) for interpreting.
Please share our social media #DeafSafeAI by RID, WASLI, and the SAFE AI Task Force!
The basic idea is that, over two days, the “end-user” the participants in the Symposium will generate a problem-solving dialogue, step-by-step, like climbing the rungs of a ladder.
First we build knowledge about the technology of AI, then
We think together at the social level to build collective intelligence about AIxAI.
The social aspect is the most important, because it is through communication that we can change structural injustice and improve quality of life for everyone.
