Engineering & Design’s, Functional Programming Lab are running 2 workshops; Introduction to Functional Programming. With each 3day workshop to be held Data61’s new location “The Precinct” in Fortitude Valley.

# Who should attend?

Anyone who is interested in Functional Programming (FP) is encouraged to register.  This workshop is designed to be inclusive and requires no prior experience with functional programming.  Each session will be instructed by Tony Morris (Team Leader, Functional Programming Lab - Data61) and you will be using the Haskell programming language to help you along your path of FP discovery.

Workshop 1:
Date: Monday 26 June – Wednesday 28 June
Time: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Level 2, T C Beirne Centre, 315 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley QLD
Cost: Free with lunch to be provided

Workshop 2:
Date: Wednesday 05 July – Friday 07 July
Time: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Level 2, T C Beirne Centre, 315 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley QLD
Cost: Free with lunch to be provided

# Requirements for participation

Participants will be required to bring a suitable development machine (portable) for working through the exercises. You will also need to install Glasgow Haskell Compiler (http://www.haskell.org/ghc/) version 7.8 or higher on that machine. There are no other primary requirements.

In your response, please address questions below.  Attendees will be selected based on the answers provided. Note: Your answers will not be shared just used to construct the course structure/material.
