BLISS 2014 is the second in the series which offers 5 days rigorous and interdisciplinary learning on sustainability science under the broad theme of 'Embracing people and planet'. The summer school will be conducted online and face-to-face simultaneously and will be led by University faculty as well as experienced subject matter experts from TERI. A certificate of participation will be awarded to all the participants.

The course pedagogy will be a mix of theory and applied course modules with more practical approach. The delivery shall be made through interactive lectures, case discussions, problem solving exercises, and video modules. Selected field visits will also be arranged for 'on campus' participants.

THE BLISS HISTORY:

BLISS was launched last year (2013) with the dual objective of increasing awareness about environmental issues and sustainable development and also to generate interest of youth in sustainability science and the career opportunities offered by it. The first edition was attended on-campus by 81 students, and by another 70 students online.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

The programme is open for undergraduate students, practitioners, researchers and professionals who are inquisitive about environmental issues and wish to learn about sustainability and its applications in these areas.
