If you visit Nickelsville before Wednesday you will notice our flag is
at half mast. This is in memory of Ken Trygg, a homeless man found
dead near a dumpster in Ballard last Thursday. Women in Black will
stand Vigil for Ken on Wednesday, April 20th between Noon and 1:00 PM
in front of the Seattle Justice Center on 5th and Cherry. They
welcome the participation of all.

Tomorrow - Monday April 18th - the Church Council of Greater Seattle,
Lutheran Public Policy Office, and others begin a week long series of
Holy Week Fasts. They aim to hold in the light the morally offensive
budget under consideration in Olympia, our states capital.

Nickelsville is honored to be one of the locations where Fasters may
gather tomorrow to call our legislators attention to the choices they
are making and challenge them to prioritize Washington's most
vulnerable populations.

They invite your participation, and you are welcome to drop by
tomorrow between 12:00 and 3:00 PM to show support for the fast or
participate yourself.
