Shiny app starts calculating unprompted

Hello Mike and everyone,

I plan to use your shiny apps in my animal physio course this quarter, but their behavior seems to have changed since I did a trial run 2 months ago.

When I open both the Endotherm and Ectotherm models, they just start running the model before I even hit 'Run', and then hang for a very long time.

I tried multiple computers and both Firefox and Chrome. I also adjusted some settings in Chrome, but nothing has worked so far. Any ideas?

I turned off, "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed" and accepted all cookies and now it appear to be running. I'll update if I run into any other issues.

If anyone else has tried to run this with a large class of students and has troubleshooting tips, I would love to hear them.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for pointing this out - there was indeed an issue which I noticed this morning and was just in the process of fixing when you emailed, which is why it's now working again. So it wasn't a problem at your end. Also note that the 'soil' and 'ectotherm' apps (and a few others) have always run un-prompted because they are quick to run.
