hi all,
Just checking in with an update from the Energy Action Coalition (who recently selected our program to be one of 10 of the summer programs they are supporting/promoting for the summer).  They sent out a liability form that we should all review and discuss on the call this coming Sunday.  I hope everyone enjoyed their free Sunday evening =)

I also wanted to remind folks that they had committed to filling in their contact information on the Team Contacts List of the NICE Summer of Solutions: Coordinator Workbook a couple calls ago.  Also we had decided to fill in the Objectives tab rows for the goals and objectives that relate directly to your role.

The roles are listed at the bottom of the Objectives sheet for now.  These roles are just roles that will be around from now until the start of the program.  Jared and Brian, you have been nominated for roles based on where we thought you would be a good fit and/or interested in filling the role.  If you are listed for a role that isn't something you would be comfortable with we can easily fix that.

Well, I think thats all I've got for now.  Call me if you want to brainstorm with someone about filling in the Objectives tab or have questions.  Talk to you all soon!

Hey Summer Project leaders,

Attached is the official Liability Waiver that must be filled out by ALL SUMMER PROJECT VOLUNTEERS. Please return completed forms for all your volunteers by Friday, June 4th COB.

Does this due date work for you? I know projects are starting at different times so please let me know if a later due date is best for your project. The important thing is to have volunteers complete them the first day on site or prior to arriving.

I'm not doing this create more work for you but to legally protect everyone. It would be tragic for a volunteer to get hurt on a project site and sue you and EAC for millions. This type of legal proceedings would be a setback in our ability to fight for a clean and just energy future... to say the least.  So please, take the time to protect yourselves.

You have 3 options for returning the completed forms:

2. Fax: 202-380-9063

3. Snail Mail:

Energy Action Coalition
1850 M St. NW, Ste. #1150
Washington, DC 20036

Thanks,
Ethan

PS. Below is an additional version that the NE project has tailored for their volunteers. Thanks for sending Marla!
