Hi Everyone!

So we're trying to get a move on with the budget and PCPP application and we need your help!  Could everyone please send in the transportation cost to and from your site to Managua, for you, 5 youth, and 2 counterparts. Not everyone will necessarily be bringing 2 counterparts but include them to cover for other presenters. Please include taxi costs as we wont be using Peace Corps vouchers.  We are still not quite sure where the event will be help but budget at least 50 cords in taxi per person to and from the event, depending on what cotran you are coming from. We need this information by the end of the week- Friday, March 30.  Also, we want to try to get all our supply needs covered by community donations.  In order to do this we're going to need everyone's help.  To start out, Id like everyone to try to get 100 cords in supply donations.  This could be notebooks, pens/penciles, markers, nametags, papelografo.  Keep us updated with which supplies and how much of each your able to get.  The Supply Officer (yet to be determined) will be in charge or coordinating these efforts.

Questions, concerns, ideas?  Dont hesitate to shoot an email!

Hope to hear from you all soon!  Happy Semana Santa!

Hi Alison,

Our bus now costs 95 cords from Ocotal to Managua, so in total it would be 1520 cords. then with taxis at 50 cords a person, would come to 800 cords. My grand total would be 2320 cords.

Do you want us to actually to collect the donations, or should we just get them to promise to give them to us? Why I am asking this is because if we don't coordinate who gets who we may end up with tons of papalagrafo and no notebooks. I would not mind being the coordinator of who is getting what and whatnot because that is something that you can do mostly by the internet. I don't know if I am going to have surgery. I am going to the states in late April and I will have another doctor's appt there, and from what the doctor says then will decide if I am going to have surgery or not. But I think I can take on the role of supply coordinator if the job mainly involves using email and some phone calls. Let me know what you think!

Thanks so much for all your hard work. I know it is hard trying to coordinate all these people.

thanks!

Hanna

Hey Guys,

From 8 people from Camoapa to Managua it would be approximately C$1840 (C$110 roundtrip on bus, and a guess of around C$120 roundtrip for taxis).

Hanna, you as supply coordinator sounds good to me! Each of us could email you with whatever donations we get, and then you could periodically send out the inventory list to the group so we can all keep tabs on it?

Hi ya'll,

From Altagracia, a one way fare to Managua (including a 50 cord taxi in case of terminal switch) would come to 181 cords. The total for 8 travelers would be 2896 cords.

I'll look into donations as well. Feel like at this point, we'll start hearing back following Semana Santa. Do we have a formal solicitude for donations? That might be helpful. Especially if we are trying to talk to larger companies who have to go through Managua offices.

Hi all,

I'm not going to send in anything because I am currently changing sites, and have no idea costs or counterparts for Matagalpa, so let's just assume that I won't bring anyone.

Hi,
My local bookstore is willing to make donations but they like to have some kind of letter requesting the donation. Do you think we could write up one of those and use it generally?

Thanks!

Hi all!

My total for 8 people would be C2,400. Thanks, guys! Also, it will be cheaper for my counterpart to come because she lives in the main city instead of in my site.

Hope you all have a wonderful Semana Santa!

Best,
Julie
