Hi GLOWers!
Sorry I haven’t been in touch but Ive been waiting to get some news from the office on the status of the Camp GLOW application. We submitted it in August and sent it back early last month with the revisions. At this point the only thing we are missing is Miguel and Carols signatures. Ana assures me she will get the signatures this week and then the application will be sent to D.C. for final approval before it will go online. Im disappointed that it’s taken so long to get it up but the office is really excited about the project is confident we’ll get funding quickly. Im inviting Ambassador Powers to come as a keynote speaker and I think we should brainstorm a Nicaraguan woman we’d like to invite as well
So now our TO-DO list! The GUIA retreat is tentatively set for November 13. I’d like to take advantage of that meeting to talk about GLOW stuff as well. What I’d like to accomplish:
ü Review and approve the application (Angie)
ü Hand out donation letters that we can all use to solicit supplies in site (Noelle)
ü Discuss inviting keynote speakers
ü Review Camp Agenda
