I have tried test this premium feature recording in streaming from desktop (Macbook air under Mavericks OS), with allmymusic software by wondershare -dvd-software/audio-recorder-mac.html only with research proposs , (this software record any streaming in the computer with 0% compression) the Spotify streaming sound. Once time the song is recorded locally I check it out the song in the reputated free audio software spectrum "Spek" ( ). Allways the spectrum give me a range of 18 kHZ (192 Kbps bitrate), never 320 kbps, neither 224 nor 256 kbps..... Speak show in the header 320 kbps and 44.100 (I guess because is tagged by default by allmymusic software settings). But the specturm doesnt lies and show a range in 192 kbps.
I have tried desactivating the "high quality option" in my profile, but the result is surprisingly the same. 18 Khz (192 kbps bitrate)... My question is, what is the maximum quality offered in streaming by Spotify?The premium susbscription offer a real improvement in the streaming quality?
