We have license for both perpertual and subscription. The one we had is autocad Lite version, where autocad full version is trial version. We are using trial for testing the extra function in full version.
1. You have been audited by a third part at the request of autodesk
2. You did install and test a trial version of autocad full version to see if its suites you needs.
3. An audit trail shows that you installed and uninstalled the software.
4. The audit trail does not show what keys were used to activate the software (i,e. trials typically don't have activation keys, but I can't speak for Autodesk since I don't know).
5. Its been over 1 month since the software was uninstalled.
Now what are they really asking you to do? Pay for a year subscription of autocad full version? Are they asking for you to pay for a prorated license (i.e. half a year since that was the duration it was installed)? I think the timing of the install and uninstall is a bit critical especially the uninstall. If the uninstall was not timing related to the audit then you could show there wasn't any bad intent to test the software. But if the uninstall event was because of the audit notification then things look a bit like you were hiding stuff.
