Vysor is a free remote control software that allows you to view and use your mobile operating system on your desktop screen. Developed by Vysor, Inc., this productivity program functions similarly to an emulator but offers more ease of use as it can remotely access your mobile device through a USB cable.
I recently saw the visor and the form factor and goals seem to fit with my desires in a portable workstation. Will visor have input from a computer for wired connection like xreal, or will it only work with apps like meta quest where you have to remote to your PC and use virtual desktop?
The next step is to connect your device via USB to your desktop. Once connected, launch the Vysor app from the Chrome Apps button. When the Vysor app opens (Figure B), click Find Devices.
From the discovery window, you can select the image quality for your device. If you prefer Vysor to run more quickly, select 500Kbps. You can go all the way up to 2Mbit, which will display a high-quality image, but will slow the responsiveness of the connection between phone and desktop dramatically.

While not everyone will have an interest in capturing your mobile screen, having the window available on your desktop is great. The chrome extension allows for quick and hassle-free access while the stand-alone app aims at delivering the best experience for the power users. I think I will be using this more often as recently my preferred recording app started to cause problems with frames sync. The free version does most of the job done, so consider adding the extension to Chrome.
I am soon will be setting up a desktop soon for my day-to-day tasks and gaming usage. I would like to have it run Linux for my day to day usage, but have a Windows VM running on top of it for gaming purposes (with PCIe passthrough for the graphics card). From my current research, I can use KVM and Qemu to run the Windows VM and have a graphics card passed through to the VM.

If you habitually spend a lot of time on your computer, a program like Vysor can be very helpful. It is software capable of mirroring the screen of your Android smartphone directly onto your desktop. To get it up and running all you have to do is connect your phone to your PC using a cable and enable USB debugging in the settings.
