icom f4400ds beeping every 30secs

Hello all,

I recently recieved my Icom F4400ds. Today I was exploring the radio and not sure if I did something to it but it is beeping every 30secs. The battery icon shows 2/3 full so I am sure its not the battery. Any help would be appreciated.

I have had a F4400DS for a long time and have never run into that issue.  Have you noticed any other anomalies with the radio (like flashing icons)?  Have you tried removing and then reconnecting the battery?

When I get home today I am going to fully charge the battery and that may fix the issue. Will keep everyone posted.

I'd pull the battery and let it sit for a few minutes, then reconnect. 

Sometimes things get into a bad state, and need a hard reset.

Just thought of another reason your radio could be beeping.  The cold weather has prompted the issuance of several NXDN messages on Talkgroup 1299-SKYWARN.  Your programming profile likely has allowed your radio to RECEIVE those messages which would be crawling across the top of your radio’s display.  To CLEAR the message scroll, press the ESCape key right below the P2 key.  There may be more than one message transmitted.  So you may need to do this several times.

Beeping problem solved. I fully charged the battery and now radio works perfectly without beeping. Thank you for your help!
