Hytera DRM compatible with NXDN?

will the handheld transceiver Hytera PD785 DRM work with the NXDN?

I think it will not.

 

Any advice?

Where can I buy a compatible digital transceiver in the Tampa / Sarasota area for the NI4CE Repeater System?

Can I use it outside the U.S.?

Hytera radios use a TDMA modulation schema that is not compatible with NXDN's FDMA structure.  Sorry, it will not work on NI4CE.

 

ICOM (IDAS) and Kenwood (NEXedge) make NXDN radios.  Go to www.icomamerica.com for a listing of ICOM Dealers in Florida.  Kenwood has a similar listing of their dealers at www.kenwood.net.

 

Europe is largely DMR and dPRM not NXDN.
